Abstract

In this article, the state language and language policy, the
priority tasks of doing business in the state language, the advantages and
disadvantages of the Uzbek alphabet based on the Latin script, the spelling
standards, the normative documents adopted to increase prestige of the Uzbek
language, and opinions about their achievements and short comings are stated.
